I started my cake artistry career with a simple flower-making course as a 19 year old culinary student, only to touch fondant again 10 years later. Over the last decade I have committed myself to exciting designs, surprising realism and spectacular attention to detail.

Get to know Wynn...
Wynn grew up in a small country town in South Africa, a place dominated by agriculture, farms and rugby. Never one to follow the status quo, Wynn was always more enticed by spending time baking or making food, than he was in sticking to cultural pressures by feigning interest in all the 'manly' stuff. Ever keen to learn as much as possible about as many things as possible, Wynn was actually more intrigued by the science and mechanics of food, than the aesthetics of it. Growing up in this environment also instilled some important values and skills: the attitude that nothing is impossible, giving everything a red-hot go (especially when told not to!), and never giving up until it's done. Being raised by incredibly hard-working parents also gave him the perseverance to keep pushing late into countless nights whilst juggling a large young family with a demanding full-time job.
In the last few years, Wynn has continued to push and hone his artistic skills where the design allows it. In all other areas of his life, he is able to quickly find the most efficient way of doing (and replicating) a task. But when it comes to cake artistry, he takes his time. The results speak for themselves, and he would be honoured to create a piece for your next event!
